Motivation: Become rich and famous.
Background: For most of his life, Righteous Song has been part mendicant and part charlatan. Knowing a few basic rituals to summon spirits, he travels from town to town, accepting donations and advising locals in what to do about problems by mixing actual knowledge, common sense, and showmanship in equal parts, while getting enough out of the mix to make a living. He's not quite a con man, but tends to toe the line more than he should.
All that changed several months back, though. Lately, his visions have become stronger, and his holy sight has become better. Now, he really thinks there might be a god speaking through him. Either way, his life is getting better and he doesn't plan to question it. Song hasn't connected this with the starry-eyed devotee he picked up after his first great mission, though. She's barely more than a child, after all, and doesn't have a hint of the divine.
The god led him to an old, abandoned since 20 years, village where he found a letter describing the destruction of the city by the forgotten god, the visions gave him insight about the forgotten god striking a deal with the Elsedale. With his con-skills which he used before and the help of Pale Lily's essence he was able to convince the population of Oakdale to riot and invade Elsdale, this was stopped by the Player Characters
