These birds were made to transport important messages and documents across creation. Although these birds aren’t made to be very fast they are made to be reliable. When a exalt wants to activate one of these birds he has to infuse it with 5 mote’s of essence, as long as these motes are committed to the bird, the bird will not recognize any other person as it’s owner. Inside the bird there is a storage space for a set of documents or possibly some other thing of equal size and weight. The owner can freely put a message in the bird and specify a person, by appearance, behavior, password and/or another aspect. The bird is not capable of speech. On command the bird will fly to a specified location, and will try to find the person. If it cannot find the person within 24 hours it will return to its owner without delivering the message. If the bird finds its target, it will allow the target access to the message inside, and it will allow the target 24 hours to write a response for the owner. If anyone other than the owner or the target tries to open the bird, the bird will burn the message inside it, leaving nothing but ashes. The bird has an illusionary disguise allowing it to almost perfectly imitate any bird seen in the neighborhood. It is almost impossible to recognize this bird as a Messenger Bird without direct contact.
