Background
Arden is a 'mortal' bounty hunter from the North who joined the circle during their prophecy. After encountering the first Messenger it turned out that he was the only mortal of the group. It didn't take long before he learned he had some unlocked Essence as well, and he was learning new powers rather quickly.
As his powers grew, it slowly started becoming clear his powers were coming from a rather evil source, the Prince of Destruction. Regardless of this fact the group still trusts him and can only hope the Prince of Destruction remains contained within Arden.
Arden's main target, and now also his nemesis, is the Chimera Ulrich. However, the situation has turned out to be a lot more complex than just killing his target. Some unknown woman has rescued Arden from Ulrich once before, but as a result Arden does not have a heart. Some kind of strange synergy with Ulrich is what is keeping him alive, and it has been foretold that only one of the two can survive.
Appearance
Arden is an imposing figure. He is a tall and broad man with blonde hair; a typical northerner. He wears a black armor of superior, perhaps even artifact quality, which he rarely takes off. He seems to be as agile as someone without armor though. The armor has sharp features all over, which can make Arden rather intimidating at times.
Arden also has a set of raven black wings which he cannot hide. When he isn't using his wings, they are folded around his shoulders making it look as if he is wearing a large cape of feathers. Another such inhuman quality is a huge spiked tail, as black as his armor. All these qualities are results of taking the powers of the Prince of Destruction in him.
Personality
Despite his sometimes threatening appearance, Arden really is a good guy. He is ruthless when it comes to a target, but he only takes targets whom he believes to be truly evil. His hunting Ulrich has become a personal matter though.
Known powers
Segmented blades: Arden uses two bastard swords normally. However, these swords can extend themselves. They break up in small segments held together by a small connection. His normal range with these swords is only 5 feet, but some powers he uses can extend his blades to much further, making them true ranged weapons.
Poison blades: Arden can send a potent magical poison through his blades, poisoning any enemy he hits with his blades.
Fire blade: Arden can engulf his blades in fire using a charm. This fire deals extra fire damage and can ignite flammable materials.
Strong armor: Arden's armor has increased in potency over time. His armor is of artifact level. He also has powers which can harden this shell to the point that no damage comes through at all.
Magic: Arden has access to magic of the Terrestrial Circle.
Fear aura: Arden can create an intimidating fear aura which will make most mortals flee from him, and can make even the most talented fighter think twice before attacking him.
Sonic attacks: Arden can emit a powerful sonic attack that blows the eardrums of his enemies.
Extra actions: Arden can release potent magical flurries.
