Pre-Fight Doughnuts

All players, besides Sandra, were new to the exalted system, I almost got all backgrounds, but not the one of Salami, his character was made the same day as the session;). All characters seemed right rules-wise and we were ready to play. Some players still need to learn the system, from the basic things like trowing dice and counting succeses to combat, but I am sure all knowledge will come and I am confident it will be a nice game

Coming together

As all players could read before on the wiki, all of them had been send a letter by Background containing knowledge that they are in peril and they should be together in a small town north of nexus. Everyone agreed but Background, who's character said: let them come. I didn't quite expect that;), but found a way to lure him to the village by sending the intended threat to his small company which retreated near the mountains for an ambush. which coincidally was near the mountains of the valley of death, the small army of undead and warghosts retreated again and his camp was near the intended town. Since all characters were very cautious, besides Barduk, who just said on the marketSquare: Who of you got this letter, everyone was at the market place at that time, but only Background and Background,(sorry forgot the name), reacted to him. Barduk retreated to his camp and said: well, if you got more exalted then we can talk (or something like that), After a while, in and out game, we got together, nobody wanted to show each other that they were solar, ofcourse, but they were a little bit slow ;). After some talk and some information exchange they went to the valley, saw some signs of an army camp build a few months before, opened a door to the facility, inside the training facility were some bandits who were convinced they should go away because Background showed his anima banner and manipulated them to go away. There were some portals, gates of aspicious passage, activated by the proper exalt. First they went to the zenith gate, activated it and stepped into it. arriving at the place they saw they arrived near the imperal mountain, with a big ruined city seeing ruined belong them and a eary feeling crept upon them, walking a small path they entered a 3 story building carved out in the rocks, containing a big golden statuue of the unconquered sun, while tom's char prayed to the statue he regained his motes and a trap door opened, which led to a staircase with a bow with sparkling essence, like a tesla coil, Background entered the first 2 steps and got hit, after that they pointed out that it was the zenith test, not the Dawn test and Background took 2 steps down, who also took some damage, Aggrevated, ouch! After another step the sparkles faded away and the reward was a single resources 4 purchase and tom's artefacts. Since Background was very tired we agreed to do one challenge more before calling it a day, not the dawn, because that one contained combat, but the Twilight's which was in the far west, and contained an abandoned andbroken factory Cathedral and a village in the trees around it, which was abandoned, There was a story on the trees near the Cathedral about how an anathema was imprisoned in the factory cathedral which was set free by the villagers and contained again by an outcaste dragonblood sorcerer, arriving at the Cathedral, they saw a twilight girl, and they couldnt talk to her because the barrier was in front of it and blocked all sound, after a conversation and spirit sight they came to the conclusion it was a demon wearing the face of an anathema, he/she wanted to be free and they oathbound him to get the hell out of there and return to malfeas and stay there, unless summoned ofcourse, and making no casualties or slowing down his return to malfeas. They removed the forcefield by the remote which was somewhere outside of the factory cathedral and the demon vanished, There was not much left, the demon broke it all in his anger and the puzzle intended for the twilight was solved and broken to pieces, they found enough material for resources 4 and some artifacts for our twilight. End session

My Thoughts

I seriously didn't think we had covered that much! A lot happened, as it probably needed to. Only problem was that the characters didn't come together as fast as I hoped they'd be. there was still some explaining to do .. which was to be expected, but everything went ok and the players knew how to use charms in some situations. Combat didn't happen because we didnt have time enough. next time will be combat. I am confident the players will be a good party and I am happy I put a Party NPC, called Background, who can help to put the players in a direction.
